Farm Raising and May Day Celebration at Peacework Farm

We will be having a gala party this year to celebrate the purchase of our land by the Genesee Land Trust and the signing of a long-term lease. Please come join us on Sunday, April 30 from 2 to 6 pm at Peacework Farm, Welcher Road (across from 2232 Welcher, but that is a private home so use our parking areas).

There will be a ribbon tying ceremony at 2 pm followed by dancing around the May Pole. At 2:15, we will have tours of the land, the old Humbert dairy farm, which will be preserved forever as farmland. Then Leona Lauster will lead a wild flower walk in the woods, which from now on will be a nature preserve open to the public. At 4:30, we will have a potluck supper. Please bring a dish to pass, a place setting and folding chairs. The farm will provide drinks. All are welcome
